For over ten years, our family poured our hearts into Mangia e Scappa, sharing the food, coffee, and culture of Italy with our community. When an inconceivable rent increase forced us to close our doors, it was a painful moment but also the beginning of a new chapter.

Determined to keep our vision alive, we began renovating a smaller space on Glover Road. The process has taken longer than expected, with months of delays, but our dream of reopening the restaurant remains very much alive.

In the meantime, we found an unexpected opportunity. On Mavis Avenue, we created a warm and welcoming coffee shop where guests can continue to enjoy authentic Sicilian coffee, freshly baked pastries, Italian street food, and our signature Focaccia Romana. It has become a space for connection, community, and comfort while we prepare for the restaurant’s return.

This is our story, rooted in resilience, fueled by community support, and built on the belief that food and coffee are best when shared with love (con amore).
